Food was okay but overpriced. Not as good as it was when it was Ninfas before. Service was terrible. We had to go get the waitress to come take our order after waiting about 20 minutes. We were a large group of 18-20 and were seated in a private room of off the entrance. The waitress appeared to be playing hostess as well and had no additional help for a group this large. Likely will not go back anytime soon.
Used to be known by another nameBut Mexican style is still their gameIf you go home hungry you’re to blameWhile the margs here have a claim to fameChips and salsa all the same? Not really true this salsa’s been flamedMenu of eats is why you cameOr maybe to spy that dude Corey HaimGreat place for you with food so untamedMight make an impression on your new dame. Some Mexican joints in BR are pricey and lameThis one is pricey but the food is insane.
We went for lunch and ordered from the lunch menu. The restaurant was medium busy and we barely made it out in an hour. The presentation of my shrimp tacos was very nice. They were very tasty and the green rice was great. My friends taco soup was interesting to say the least but okThe salad was 95% iceberg lettuce.
Had a hair in the bottom of my chip basket. Told the waiter about it and they just asked if we wanted fresh chips. The food that didn’t have a hair in it was okay. Pretty basic and mostly overpriced. If the staff was better I might consider going back, but the only thing I really liked about the whole experience was the free salsa.
Love love love it! The best salsas in Baton Rouge! Also, the absolute best tortillas! A little pricey, so we like to save a visit here for a special occasion. We brought a group of 13 here recently (made a reservation ahead of time). We had an awesome experience and a really great waiter! Can’t wait to visit again!
Subpar food that is grossly overpriced. My fianc and I decided to stop by for lunch and we ordered a quesadilla, mixed chicken and beef fajita, and a side of queso and it ended up being $45. The waitstaff were fine but overall a very expensive and underwhelming experience. Will not be back.
Best Mexican restaurant in Baton Rouge! Best chips, best salsa, best green tomatillo sauce!! Baton Rouge staple. Going here is a must! Enjoy!
