Tsunami Shaw CenterDined here recently to celebrate back to school night. Made reservations w/ request for gluten free menu. Beautiful dining room; no question this restaurant has the best view of any restaurant in town. G/F menu arrived. I was disappointed in the limited options but it was enough to feel satisfied. My rolls were brought out on a separate plate so not to cross contaminate. I ate with no problem. The Philly Roll and Grand Isle Roll the only sushi rolls w/ G/F preparation. I would have liked to have had more options. The Philly Roll was much better choice. They have a flourless chocolate cake for dessert but we did not splurge on this meal; perhaps the next. They do not validate parking in the paid high rise so cruise around the neighborhood to find a free spot on the street. heydelhiblog.wordpress.com

The view is worth the stop all by itself but the very good sushi will get you to come back! Others have pointed out that this is a very nice place with a panoramic view of the river and downtown. Modern and clean, Tsunami has a very classy vibe. The fish we tried was very fresh, rolls expertly prepared. A standout thou was the calamari. I usually don’t get anything fried at a sushi place but I do love calamari so we tried it. I’m very glad we did, this may be the most tender and flavorful I’ve had anywhere. The service was terrific, it accented the upscale vibe quite well. When I’m back in town this will be on my short list of places to visit.

Some of the best sushi in town, but the atmosphere beats them all. In fact it beats most restaurants in Baton Rouge, if not all. The view of the river is spectacular, and the decor is modern and beautiful. It’s small- make reservations unless you’re coming for lunch. The bento box at lunch is a steal of a deal. The green monster is my favorite roll. But everything I’ve had is great. Their iced tea is so good. I don’t know what kind it is, but it is a little floral/fruity. Dessert is even amazing. Don’t miss this place.

Food tastes great but you get so little for the price. I had 2 of the tuna dishes and ugani. Only 1 ugani per order so be aware! My tuna was delicious! The view is great as well. Rooftop dining is the price you’re paying I guess!

Love the atmosphere and the view. Sushi is awesome too! Green Monster has to be my all time favorite! Only downside is having to find a place to park!

Not my cup of tea. If you like noise and a pretentious menu served by patronizing servers, this is the place for you. We just couldn’t get past the noise, didn’t find the food terribly appetizing. Better meal and service at Ruth’s.

Love the View, Japanese Magnolia and Sushi. Having a Japanese magnolia on the roof top was just what I needed. Very nice atmosphere & drinks.
