I went to 2Johns last night for the first time not knowing really anything about the place. My imagination had built up this amazing spectacular place…they did not disappoint. The service was great! Our waiter was the best waiter I have ever had! My girlfriend and I just described what we wanted in our wine and he picked out the perfect match. He also described the food as we were looking over our menus. The food was superb. The food was the definition of perfection! I loved the live music! The pianist and the singer really set the mood for the place. The most important thing I can say about this place is bring a thick wallet and make a reservation.
The crab cakes was yummy! We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The live pianist, dim lighting and excellent food.
The piano player on Wednesdays and Thursdays, Winston Hall, is amazing. Great food! Great drinks! Cocktail waitress, Jackie, is awesome! Love this place!!
Food was good, atmosphere and service excellent. Overall though, I would rather go to Texas Street…the food is better and the atmosphere is more inviting!
Ate with my family during the Christmas holiday. First timer. (I’m a local who has moved to Florida), and I spent 20 years off and on in the restaurant business. – This is a pretty restaurant. I had a crabcake appetizer. CRUMMY product. Decent flavor, (and they were good sized and looked pretty) but they were made out of mostly breadcrumbs, with (I suppose) some backfin meat in there somewhere. Turned to mush in my mouth. They need to take that piece of sh*t off the menu, as it’s a joke. – Like a dummy I got the stuffed tilapia not realizing the stuffing would be the same crap the crabcakes were made out of! – Small portion, and the fish was way overdone and dry (gross). Served with mashed potatoes that were actually pretty good, and some smallish, rather overdone green beans. – The waiter was a bit weak, but his helper was outstanding. – Disappointing dining experience at an EXORBITANT price (for what you get out of the deal) : (
Great girls night out! Excellent atmosphere for laughter & catching up. Live piano music was perfect. Loved the lemon drop martini. I had the sea bass & it was cooked perfectly. I wish I lived closer, if visit regularly!
Food and service was great. We got the table next to the piano. Little loud but overall a great dinner.
