Getting better everytime I go. They do have some problems with constantly finding good wait staff, but today’s visit was very good. Food was great23 Dec, 2013I give this place a 6.5 out of 10. The sushi is good but lacks imagination. Also it would be nice to have some more common rolls on the menu. They also give you complimentary edamame, which is nice.
Taste like supermarket. Placed a pick up order, staff seems uninterested. Had to wait for the waiter to come from the back to get assistance, while two other employees stared blankly at me. Order a Bento Box and California Roll. Chicken in Bento Box was overcooked, didn’t get my soup, and the California Roll was bland and covered in some kind of cream sauce. There was no one there when I got there and I see why now.

Food was terrible! We ordered the LSU Tiger it tasted like frozen food and it was burnt. The calamari was inedible. Miso soup was awful! Service was equally bad! The server did not make us feel welcome. Manager does not seem to care. Sushi Gen on Line Ave is the best! I will never return
The service was horrible. I never received eating utensils, asked for refill on my drink and he never brought it back. I ordered desert and waiter forgot to put in the order. Food was below average.
I can see why this place is never busy. The service is horrible and the food is average at best. The server had no personality, ignored us most of the time we were dining and forgot to put in part of our order. The atmosphere felt like a restaurant that was incomplete. The dining room looks like it’s part sushi bar, part storage unit. The dining room was dirty as well. I counted numerous dirty tables while the servers stood around wasting oxygen. This is my second visit here, and it will be my last. Overall I have to say it was consistent. Consistently bad.
Not fancy and never seems crowded. I’ve eaten three times and the sushi was pretty awesome. Volcano roll was amazing. Everything is very fresh and tasted great! GO!
