We ordered take out, and first of all, the girl who we spoke to on the phone was EXTREMELY rude. In the past, we were told that you could ask for no MSG in your food here. That is something that is important to us, so I specified that I would like our order without the ingredient. The girl responded that only the rice was MSG free. After going around with her for a few minutes and her talking to someone else who works there about the subject, we came to the agreement that she’d let us know what they were able to exclude MSG from when we picked it up. She failed to do so, and we called back, she said that they left it out of everything. I honestly just find it hard to believe that it went from: we can’t exclude it, to we left it out of everything, and don’t trust that they do actually leave it out. On top of that, the food was typically greasy Chinese food, and the meat quality was severely lacking for the price of the dishes.
This may very well be the best Chinese food in the area. However that isn’t saying much considering the lackluster offerings to be had elsewhere in town. The assertions made in many reviews that this is a diamond in the ruff are true to an extent but I simply can not overlook the surroundings as many have suggested you do. Granted many of these reviews came years ago and the sad state of the hotel has only deteriorated since, making this somewhere I simply can not recommend to be frequented. I can’t imagine why the owner won’t find a better location. Sure the rent has got to be cheap, but he obviously respects his food and wine from a culinary standpoint, why doesn’t he respect it from an presentation, read atmosphere, standpoint. If not for his food then for his guest he should consider a move to a location that would not detract from the full dinning experience.
Love Love Love!! Best Chinese in Bossier! The duck pancakes are amazing!
Horrible Customer Service and Food. I placed a to go order for the shrimp fried rice. When I open the box there was only 5 baby size shrimp in the whole box of fried rice, and they were placed at the top of the box to fool you into believing there was more. I called to speak with the manager and she explained to me that’s how it was made and there wasn’t anything she could do about that.I would have rather took my money and ate at China Flag buffet.Never eating here again
They just don’t care. We ordered dinner for 4 by delivery tonight. He read the order back to me perfectly. We then received dinner for 3. I called immediately. I was told we only ordered for 3, but they would add the additional dinner to my card and deliver. After an hour, still no sign of the delivery guy. I called and they said he would be here shortly, a half an hour later and still no sign of the guy.Save your money, order elsewhere. These people just don’t care.
Good, but not great.. We went for lunch today. The hot and sour soup was really good. The rest of the food we had was good but not the best Chinese food I have ever had. For the lunch menu prices though you get a lot of food and is better than a Chinese buffet. I think this used to be a really great place to go but the place has lost some luster. The wine selection they boast of does look nice but the place is in need of some cleaning and repairs. There are rips in the carpet. The windows we sat buy were filthy that over looked an empty waterfall/pond outdoor area that must have been broke and had cats wondering around. The tables were clean but the baseboards and other wood areas around looked like they need to be scrubbed. The restroom is part of the hotel and was dirty, had broken mirror, door wouldn’t lock, part of the counter broken off etcetera. Unless your just really into a huge fancy wine list I don’t think this is a good place for a dinner date. There is a newer better place for that. I would go back for lunch for what I got for $6.75 even though they really need to do some repairs and cleaning.
Good Chinese food. This place is rather great. Odd location, odd surroundings, but great service. The food came out in great portions, everything tasted hot and prepared reasonably fresh. A different taste in Asian-American cuisine, while improving old favorites.
