There are no words to describe the talent, precision, and creativity that we received when we chose Silver Palate as our wedding cake vendor. We could not have been more over the moon with the final results when we walked into our wedding reception! Shane Morgan made us feel as if we were his only client, in the midst of the MANY cakes that bakes! He was very receptive to our ideas, and was able to add his touch to create the cake that we dreamed about–not to mention that all of our guests raved on how moist and flavorful our cake was!Our experience was very pleasant and professional and we truly could not have made a better choice in a vendor. It is clear that Shane takes absolute pride in his work and is so precise and professional. We don’t have a single complaint and were SO pleased.

He helped me pick the perfect blend of flavors so that I did not mess up by picking too many! As soon as I get my pics back I will upload them. I cant wait to order my birthday cake from them! Brides, you cant go wrong. Best service, best flavors, beautiful cakes.
My best friend got her wedding cake from here and I was the BEST cake I have ever tasted(I’m not a cake person and hate icing) but it was moist and Flavorful and Just Plain amazing 🙂
I was extremely disappointed in my wedding cake from Silver Palate. They have an amazing reputation but I think they have let that get to their heads, because my cake was very sub-par. I brought in pictures of exactly what I wanted. Sat down with Shane and was under the impression that my designs and colors were no problem. I left the store very excited that I would be getting the beautiful cake I wanted with the pretty metallic gold/champagne swirl designs. The day of my wedding, I discovered that I had not gotten that at all. My desing had been changed, which Shane admitted he did on his own without consulting me. Also, the swirls were not the pretty metallic color. They were an ugly brown color, and not very carefully piped on at all. They were uneven and not uniform in design at all. I could not call Shane the day after my wedding because it was a Sunday, so I left for my honeymoon and called when I returned. I called for three days and no one answered at the store. Finally, I left a message and got a call back from Shane. I was informed that because I did not call the day after the wedding, there was nothing he could do and that they do not answer the phone at the store. They only return calls when they receive a message. (What kind of business doesn’t answer their phone?) Long story short, he told me I shouldn’t have waited sp long to call, the cake was gone, the wedding was over, it was done. He reluctantly offered me a store credit, which is no good for me since I would never use it. Told me that his bookkeeper doesn’t allow him to write checks to refund anything at all, even though he is the owner. It only got worse from there. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. Said they have a no refund policy and there was nothing he could do for me. So, basically he took my $1,000 for a cake that was absolutely disappointing and not at all what I had ordered, then wiped his hands of it and didn’t care at all that he left a customer very unsatisfied. Oh, I might also mention that my mother in law called before me, without my knowledge, to complain about the groomscake. He told me that she left a bad taste in his mouth and that he was offended by the whole situation. So basically, he held her comments against me. Shane is very unprofessional and rude. Use the Silver Palate if you want to pay top dollar for a low quality product and get ripped off, then get treated like crap for complaining. He has let his good reputation go to his head and has completely lost a grip on good customer service.
AMAZING!!!!. The absolute best experience I’ve ever had with a bakery. Shane designed my son’s birthday cake. I didn’t bring a picture or really have any idea what I really wanted. I did, however, sit down with Shane, described my style, showed him the birthday invitation and told him to take that info and run with it. The result; the most incredible, original and perfect birthday cake for my son. The design, small details and special touches were exactly what I wanted. He is a true artist.Did I mention it was beyond delicious?…It was by far the best cake I’ve tasted at any party or event.Every single person at my son’s birthday party asked for info on the bakery. I will never use anyone else.Thank you Shane and team Silver Palate Bakery!!!
