We went to Shockley’s tonight and I have to say that is the Worst fish I have ever eaten, fries were like fast food but hard as a rock and the hush puppies were like little fried balls of sand. Nothing was seasoned and the fish had lots of dark brown spots, not all flakey white like we like it. Not sure if it was just a bad night or what but we will not be going back
Great Atmosphere and Food. Great food, great service, and wonderful laid back atmosphere! The coleslaw was the best I have ever had. The only draw back, cash or check only. No cards. My entire family enjoyed everything. Will definitely be going back! Oh, and the price is very reasonable.
I can not even began to rate shockley’s high enough !!!!!!The best seafood I have Ever eaten in 60 years and in all my travels . I have tried everything on the menus and can’t pick a favorite . we order a little bit of everything , going to dinner there tonight and I can not hardly wait.Please , give them a try .you get just what you pay for …the best !!!!I promise you will Love the food .

Mmmm. The best cole slaw and tomato relish in the world. I love the fish, some people dont. The filets and whole fish are small, which is how I like ’em. The fish are cooked well done and are never mushy. The quality of the fish is good, no fishy taste just clean white fish. The fries are also great. No hushpuppies, but they have fried biscuits, with honey and butter on the table. Family owned and operated. Nothing fancy as far as atmosphere, an open knotty pine dining area.
Expensive & not very good. Bad fries. Had much better food for less $. Childs plates are $10!
