Although I do agree the service is terrible, my mother has been getting my cakes for every one of my birthdays from caro’s. Im 23, and thats many years. Its become a family tradition. Now Im a mother and I buy my sons birthday cakes from there also. I do not taste any dryness in my cakes, however the icing is a bit sweet sometimes. As for professinal work, they do great IF your willing to pay high dollar, these cakes are exactly cheap. For one cake that feeds 20 Its 45 dollars down. Not including whatever else there is you have to pay, and there cakes can be limited in style. I have yet to see them have a cake thats in the shape of something other than a sqaure or circle. But for good, down home Tradinall family cakes, Caros is the place to go. The cakes never come out nasty looking and you will get what you pay for!
Why all the hype?. I really do not understand the hype about this place. The cakes are always super dry and tastes of artificial everything (usually have a nasty artificial almond extract or artificial vanilla extract flavor). Can no one taste that?? And how hard is it to spray the cakes with a simple syrup to curb the dryness? I say avoid this place. Mega-mart has better cakes and they’ve probably been previously frozen.
