  A waste of ingredients, a waste of human potential…a waste of time.. I went to this restaurant with my family hoping it was improved since last we were there more than a year before. We all had the buffet and ordered a fresh pizza.The buffet had gumbo which had little taste and was over cooked. The red beans were largely unflavored and seasoning them after the beans are fully cooked is not the best thing. The remainder of the food was bland and not note worthy at all.I would fault management at the failure not realize the potential here. A buffet restaurant located in South Louisiana which does not even have food which is seasoned properly, nor has proper wait staff which sits around with no one working while customers are coming in. The only advantage we had was that we tried the Early Bird Special so we saved a few dollars over the normal lunch or dinner buffet prices.Thinking the special order pizza would save the eating experience, we were disappointed with the toppings. The only part of the pizza that was fairly good was the crust which we ordered thin and a little charred. The toppings tasted old, as if the freshness had long ago departed from the peppers, the red onions were uncooked, the Italian sausage did not have much flavor (and that should NOT be!) and the Mozzarella appeared to be something less than fresh, and maybe less than natural.The surprise we have is that this restaurant has stayed open with such bland and unappetizing food for so long.If you are looking for a buffet that has ingredients with taste, that are fresh don’t go here!13 Jan, 2014Good cooks needed badly.. Just a quick update….My family and I returned to the restaurant to find the food was the same as last time or less in quality, though the salad appeared fresh, the food was almost tasteless and to have that in restaurant fare in south Louisiana is a sin.It is sad, that a restaurant which began with such great promise, slipped to this level. Apparently, enough people with bland tastes and new customers, along with a good location, keep this restaurant in business, but not the food, nor the cleanliness of the restaurant, though wait staff sweeping hard the carpet flails dust and particles from the floor up to the table.31 Oct, 2012Poor food becoming poorer. M y family and I once again tried this restaurant. The quality of food is declining each time we eat, the last time we ate here was last year. It started out well, and has been declining since. Often, the menu items seem to be thrown together without much thought about flavor or recipes. The gumbo is a waste of time, ingredients, and money. It is without flavor and not done at all in a Cajun or Creole way. It seems that someone from Ohio prepared the gumbo attempting to make it with some Cajun ingredients, such as alot of okra. Many other dishes can be left in the warming trays. It truly pains me to write this review since the restaurant started with such good food and promise. The district manager was there in the beginning and told us that a new restaurant would be opened in Thibodaux. Thank God, they did not open a new restaurant in Thibodaux. Thibodaux has enough bad restaurants already.I challenge the owners and managers of this restaurant to go into any home near the restaurant where an older lady resides. Ask this older lady to come and prepare a Cajun gumbo or etouffee, or fried chicken, or spaghetti, or any dish they prepare. You will find a normal older cook in any home can and does cook much better than this restaurant provides.20 Aug, 2011Quality of food and service declined. We ate at this restaurant the first day it was opened and also 2 other times the first week. Though the wait staff was still learning, the service was very good and the good good to very good.We ate there again a year later, then another six months after and we saw a marketed decline in the quality of the food and the service. This is a shame.14 Jun, 2010Good buffet, better specialty pizza though high price. We have eaten at this restaurant from the first day it opened and numerous dozens of times since. The menu began with quality food with proper seasoning and many different entrees and sides. Over the weeks and months since opening the selections have become fewer, the seasoning is not adequate for most dishes, the quality of the food and service has declined, with the notable exception of the specialty pizza which is the best item there. We would encourage the management and staff to return to the quality they began with and review the selection, quality and taste of each dish, and re-train the wait staff.

  Great place to come especially if u have a lot of people and kids. Friday is the best they have fried shrimp and many more seafood dishes besides all the pizza

  Good for a buffet!. I’m not usually one for buffets – for so many reasons – but this place is really good. The salad fixins are fresh, the pizza selection is wide, interesting and fresh (doesn’t taste like cardboard!), even the pastas and hot foods are good. The breadsticks and cheese bread are great, and there’s a nice home-baked tasting dessert bar, too. The place is big and a fairly decent price. Good for a no-fuss quick lunch.
