Excellent. Flavorful, fresh food with good service. Everything I’ve ever had here tasted homemade-this isn’t prefab, and you can taste the difference!
DELICIOUS!. If you like warm salsa, this is the place for you. Its very flavorful, not too spicy! The Mango Margarita was amazing. Had the Tacos Al Pastor which were delicious and reasonably priced. My boyfriend had the chicken fajita enchiladas, talk about a lot of food! We loved that it is family owned and operated and that the owner goes around checking on customers for a pleasant visit. Servers were very nice and quick with our orders. WE WILL RETURN! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Warm salsa, good food friendly service, lunch menu till 3pm = nice
Their salsa really DOES look out of the can, they just heat it up. I read the reviews before going but this was not my choice of restaurant. I had the chicken chimichanga, it was okay but nothing to really brag about : |
Barandas have plenty of time to waste:/. When I first ate at Barandas I was reasonably impressed, as it seemed to be a family owned and operated establishment with a unique flare. The worst was yet to come…. Terrible and I do mean terrible and downright rude service and extremely slow to boot! So bad in fact after waiting over an hour for a simple order, I had to go to the kitchen to find out what was going on. The waitress (I believe the daughter) told me to go sit down and they would get to me ASAP? What a crock! Also their prices (as are most lousy Acadiana Mexican food clones) are way to high for what they offer! This is a total joke of a place that also has an aversion to running AC! They blow a shop fan in your face the entire dinner. Complete suckville!
Food has been on a downward spiral the last few times I tried eating here. Don’t think I’ll be back unless Im starving but would probably go to chevron across the street.
