Best on the Northshore!. We’ve eaten at the Tap Room and Seiler Bar several times and found the quality and consistency of the food among if not the best on the Northshore. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Their club sandwich is the best ever, but the hamburger is a close second. Seiler Bar food is on a par with any of the better restaurants in the Covington area and a lot less expensive. Extensive beer selections with a well-informed bar staff to help in your decision making. A real fun place to be for block parties, Saints games, LSU games, Mardi Gras, etc. Gets my vote for best all around eating and drinking establishment on the Northshore!!!
Great experience. First off, this place is not $. It’s $$. I didn’t know the menu changed out to the more expensive menu for dinner (didn’t say on the website). However, that didn’t stop us from trying it out. We were celebrating our engagement with family and turns out it was an LSU game night. It wasn’t crowded and the game was on, but it wasn’t overbearing. We sat outside. Great atmosphere. The food is amazing. I got a gulf fish (forgot the fish’s name) with crab meat and a corn thing on the side. The crab meat were big chunks, which I hope to expect when I pay over $20 for an entree with crab on it. Everyone loved their entree and the service. Nice beer list- made my dad happy since he’s a beer snob and loves microbrews. Everyone got a desert. The creme brulee was fantastic and was torched right in front of us. He said he would check to see if it had a good crack and if not, he would torch it again. That was a great surprise- I order it a lot from other restaurants and no one does that!They graciously gave us champagne and took off our brulees as a thanks for celebrating there. A+ all the way. I will definitely go back, maybe when the bands play.
Great lunch spot…. Love the burgers and wings…the 12 ounce burger is great to split with someone! Good selection of beers on tap!
Super seiler bar. We consistently enjoy top quality food and great service from knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. The use of interesting combinations of ingredients, is exciting to the palate.The Wednesday special of 2 appetisers and 2 wines for 20$, is very good – we sampled this last week and it was super! What could be better here in Downtown Covington?
Quail and short rib meals were surprisingly delicious!!
