Adorable nouveau Italian restaurant in old town Covington. Love the atmosphere & decor! Food is great also. May want to make reservations on the weekends. Check it out! You won’t be disappointed.
Food was great. Very glad we made a reservation, it was packed at 8pm. It was very very loud. Luckily we got a table outside of the main dining room where it was a bit quieter. Overall, loved it and willbe back.
Really upped their game!. Had dinner Friday night and must say the entire experience was excellent. Food has always been consistently good but it’s obvious the owners are going the extra mile to make the whole dining experience top notch. The fried oyster and artichoke appetizer was cooked perfectly. Crisp batter seasoned perfectly. The redfish was likewise fresh and well prepared. Cocktails were outstanding. The restaurant will soon open a separate dining area for larger private parties which will be a welcomed addition to Covington’s culinary scene. If you haven’t eaten at Del Porto recently, I recommend that you give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.
Impressive!. Italian food at it’s finest, and most modern. Please don’t expect the classic meatballs here. They have taken the freshest approach to Italian cuisine.
Delicious Del Porto. Covington may be across Lake Pontchartrain from the Big Easy. But it does a fine job of keeping up in the food department.Del Porto is right downtown, in an old building nicely renovated. The service staff were very professional and pleasant. The cocktails and food were, across the menu, delicious.Being in the shadow of New Orleans doesnt mean that the food has to suffer.
Used to be good. Sorry to say, the service was barely passable. One out of three courses was delicious. Dry $35 steak, ok salad. Decent dessert. Pasta dish was amazing. Disappointed 🙁
Nice setting, attentive wait staff. Great food! The tortelini melts in your mouth. Excellent.
