Covington location was very clean and nice. We did takeout and loved it. We had the ribs, pulled pork, mac n cheese, coleslaw, and fries. Food was very well cooked and very tasty. All was packaged nicely and the staff was very helpful with our selections. Manager was especially friendly and helpful.
Food was delicious!! My husband and I went in today for lunch. He had the sausage and brisket, and I had the wings. I was very impressed that their sausage is homemade and seasoned to perfection. The wings were amazing as well. The only tiny complaint is the meat was a little salty, and that is coming from someone who usually adds salt to everything.
First time was great, but subsequent visits have been less impressive each time. Previous time the told us ‘we’re basically out of food’, at 6pm. This time they were empty, missing sauces on the tables, no cutlery, had to wipe the table clean. The place was empty- why was it dirty and not stocked? Gave them too many chances.
Unimpressive and middle of the road. Had the brisket sandwich with fried okra and Mac. My girlfriend had the pork with beans and Mac. There’s really nothing extraordinary about the food. It’s ok, but I don’t see myself craving it. I’d rather Dickey’s.
The BBQ here is the best around! I have missed good bbq every since I moved to Louisiana and this place fits the bill. The sides could make a meal on their own, especially the fried okra. I deducted half a point because my order has been wrong a couple of times. When it is busy, the staff does not seem to be able to handle it.
I had lunch at Smoke last Friday with my co-workers. We each tried something different and overall had a good experience. The staff was attentive and courteous. The waitress was knowledgable about the menu and we did not have a long wait. Our table ordered Smoked Chicken Wings, Pulled Pork Sandwich, Hot Link Plate, and 2-Meat Combo plate (ribs and smoked sausage). Overall a solid BBQ experience, but I must say the baked beans were one of my favorites. They were delicious!
