We stopped in on Easter Sunday for lunch for out first trip in. $13 plus drink and tip each.In an old Pizza Hut but once inside it is ok on the ambience scale for the type place it is.Not tons of selections compared to other buffets in the area but everything was pretty tasty. Asked for and received a nice hot basket of naan with our meal. Iced tea was not Community but was ok. My fave, tandoori chicken was on the buffet although not tons of pieces to choose from on this trip in. In fact that would be my biggest issue here. With only two decent sized parties and maybe three other two tops they were consistently out of food selections or down to the dregs on an already limited buffet. We love spicy and the tandoori chicken and chili chicken were both pretty spicy on the heat scale. A good thing for us. We enjoyed our meal and will visit again sometime when in the area. Hope we can elevate to four stars soon.
It’s been a while since I’ve had some Indian food and heard this place was good. Definitely was! Very tasty flavors with everything we ordered. App was Gobi Lasuni which is fried cauliflower covered in a tangy spicy garlic red sauce. Really good! Dinners were Shrimp Tandoori, Tandoori Mixed Grill, Chicken Bombay Madala, and Garlic Naan. Everything was great!! Place was very slow which is crazy but the food tasted very fresh. Service was good!
The best buffet in Baton Rouge. Everything is delicious. I love the rice pudding and sweet syrupy doughnuts that are sometimes out for dessert. The fruit that is out is always fresh and delicious, the salad is topped with yummy cheese and dressing and mangos, and all the main courses to choose from are top notch.
Not good indian food. Taste is not good..
Best Indian in BTR. Love this place. My family and I go often. Food is always great, never any problems. Service is great too. I recently went to another Indian restaurant here in town, it was pretty good, but, I prefer Al Noor. You won’t waste your money or your time. Good eats, seriously.
Love IT!!!. Awesome food, great people and a fun atmosphere! Will definitely go back!
Great Family Run Indian Rest.. Two Indian families, about ten in each party, walked in right in front of us. Then we noticed there were only 2 people working the dinning room. Then we saw a couple walk out, although they had only been waiting for about 5 minutes. Then my wife and I were told the entrees (veg n meat Thali’s) we ordered were not available as they would take too long to prepare and the owner didn’t want us waiting too long for our food. Disaster coming right? Not even close! The servers were very pleasant. Having to order a different entree I asked the waitress for a recommendation, which was the Balti lamb, and it was phenomenal. Lamb was melt in your mouth tender, the Balti sauce was one of the better Indian style sauces I’ve ever had. My wife’s shrimp Bryani, I didn’t try it, but she raved about the seasoning and the numerous fresh shrimp. We did the Papadi Chaat for an app. Very unique, refreshing, delicious. As I previously mentioned 2 huge parties, another couple, my wife and I all arrived at the same time. I don’t know how they did it, but every time I looked around people were being served relatively quick, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Hats off to the servers as well as the kitchen. Sorry for the couple that left, but hopefully they read some reviews and give them another shot. Highly recommend!
