Best sandwich in Baton Rouge. Service is fanominal. The prices can’t be beat.
American Market has great sandwiches and friendly service at a bargain price, plus they offer whole wheat bread as an option. Highly recommended.
Cajun Turkey = YUM. I love American Market’s Cajun Turkey sandwich, definitely one of my go-to meals, and the employees are always so nice every time I go there.
Great Surprise. My wife and I went here based on the reviews, and we were not dissappointed. Very friendly staff met us, and on learning that it was our first time, explained everything to us. The sandwich was great, and you can’t beat the price. We would definitely recommend this to others. A great sandwich shop that you can’t judge from it’s Kwik-E-Mart exterior.
New Ownership. This place has been a favorite place of mine since freshman year of college back in 2003. The food is always fresh and the service is beyond words! I always order the Cajun Turkey, 32 oz Powerade, and a bag of chip for lunch; with left overs for snack later. I was so sad to learn on my recent visit that that Am Mart is under new ownership. They aren’t as nice and conversational as the Karen and her family, but the food still tastes good. I also saw an increase in prices with the alcohol. Am Mart is known for 3 things: best poboys in town, spectacular customer service (Karen was amazing with names), and the cheapest price in alcohol near LSU. I think the new people need to up their game because customer service was what kept me coming back to this little gem.
You CANNOT beat this deal! $4.99 for a foot long and chips. Delicious, fresh ingredients! The Cajun turkey is my fav.
$4.99 pressed footlong sandwiches and a bag of Zapps that blow Subway out of the water anyday. $0.99 for extra meat will make this sandwich last 2 sittings. The meat is cut a la deli style and is always fresh. Fast, friendly service.
