Enjoyed it very much…. Stumbled upon it while in town visiting from Kansas City in July (sorry it took so long to write a review). Had the smothered pork chops, rice/gravy, mac and cheese, greens, cornbread and loved every bite. The service was excellent. It started to rain hard and I did not have an umbrella and the gentleman that worked there (might be the owner) got an umbrella and walked me to my car. Now that is service. I will be back again and I am encouraging my other friends from Kansas City to visit also.
Best, Cleanest Soul Food Around. Very, very good food, favorite is Chitterlings with Greens, Cornbread and Yams, although everything I’ve eaten there has been delicious. Only complaint is that they don’t serve chitterlings everyday or on Sunday. Very pleasant family atmosphere although small. Love it!
Great food. Rice and gravy rules
A former bomb…now bombing. The quality of the food has gone down from when it first opened around 1999 or 2000. The mac and cheese used to be nice and square now its sort of mushy and scooped, the fish used to be real catfish, now it tastes like basa and the gravy used to be to die for and its just OK now. I suspect that someone else is doing the cooking now and they don’t have the skills of the former cook. The cornbread and beans are still good but I need to see some improvement since the prices have increased tremendously since

Classic case of dissanticipointment with this spot. I heard so much and expected too much… It’s not bad…. But it isn’t great either.
Good Food, Check To Go Orders. Home cooking, high in calories and finger licking good! A true indulgence in favor and comfort food at its finest. If you get a to go order, check the order before leaving to make sure you are not disappointed that what you receive is what you ordered.A hole in the wall with limited seating and friendly service. The area is a little scary, but the food is worth the visit!
