Surprised by the horrible service today. Ordered a plain hamburger steak. It came out with mushrooms and gravy on it. The cashier tried to say that they were not mushrooms to another customer finally convinced her they were. The cashier told the cook and showed him the order and how a mistake was made. It’s thirty minutes later and I’m still waiting. The kids working in this place think they are doing you a favor by serving you. Very disappointed.
Worst food ever. I am not a picky eater and I have been here several times as my girlfriend likes the place, so I have tried almost everything on the menu & I don’t even know how this place stays open the food is always so bad…I think dog food would tasted better than anything I have eaten here! Burgers are small and tasteless, Salads worst in town, specials are disgusting, the only thing I have found that they can’t screw up and make taste terrible is a plain hot sausage poboy or a plain ham and cheese sandwich…Don’t eat here there is nothing on the menu that is good!!
Good lunch spot. Great Local place.. Muffaletta and chicken wings are both good. burgers and poboys also very good from here.
I was very disappointed with the service. Not polite and being loud and cursing behind the bar. Not the type of place I want to go to for lunch. Just had a bad feel to the place. On a side night, only George’s I have been to that doesn’t serve chicken and sausage gumbo. I’ll stick to the one on Highland.

Not worth the price. While George’s is a local favorite, the food was underwhelming. It has, consistently, been voted one of the best burgers in BR but I will not be returning for the burgers. My friends got the po boys which looked great, and I might go back to try one.
