La Madeleine has been one of my favorite cafes since I was little! This one in Perkins Rowe is adorable and has a cute interior, as do they all. They have the best soups, the Caesar salad is perfection and every dessert I have ever had was amazing. It is a bit expensive but they have real food and you can get a lot for little if you’re smart about it. If you have never been, go.

Solid if not spectacular place for a light meal and/or desserts galore and coffee if you choose.Love the combos you can order too to get a taste of a few things together. Not for the faint of heart if you are on a diet is it is hard to see all the rich entre type items and also be assaulted by the sweets out front. It’s just not fair. ;0)I had a two salad and cup of soup combo on our latest trip in and loved the salads but thought the French onion soup could have been better. Not visually appealing was one of the things I did not like so much.Wife had mushroom soup and half sandwich which she deemed to be a tasty treat. Escaping for under $22 and pleasingly full we did not partake of the sweets this time in.Likely to return at some point for sure. To get to four star? Don’t know but stay tuned.

Food excellent.. Went to Perkins location. Food was delicious with adequate portions. Deserts are wonderful.Restrooms were horrible, management should monitor them. I would go back without hesitation as food was very tasty.

This place is interesting. You walk in and you smell the French food in addition to the attitude. As a matter of fact, people who work there believe that they’re more French than the French themselves. The staff is so cold and judgmental they make the actual French look like nice Canadians. Food is not bad, however.

The place has changed.. I was a manager here in 1997/1998. I was also manager at two other la Madeleine’s in Atlanta prior to transferring here. This location was much slower than the Atlanta locations, but our staff was friendly and on top of things. The food was good, and was served in a quickly. The fresh bread and fresh pastries were awesome. I left la Madeleine once I got married and moved to another state. We still looked forward to driving down and eating here. Since, la Madleine was sold we slowly started noticing changes. Our last visit was probably our last. They no longer had fresh baked bread, the pastries were pathetic. They had very few pastries on display, and what they had did not look appealing. There was no one working the line. We had to wait for someone to come out. All we were getting was a soda for the drive because their sodas were always so good. Even the soda tasted terrible. We could not even drink it. We also visited the restrooms while here. The floors were filthy. They looked like they had not been mopped in ages. Even after not working for this company for years, they still felt like family to me. Now, I am highly disappointed, and am embarrassed to tell someone I worked here. I bet the previous owner hates he sold it with all the changes that have been made.
