Pretty good place.., the bottomless mimosas are very bottomless. Good with groups but very busy. Ribeye and eggs, crepes and omelets. Didn’t try the Bloody Mary bar but it seems quite popular.
This was my first stop when I moved to Baton Rouge. I make sure to recommend to everyone I know. You must try the seafood craft burger and their award winning Bloody Mary.
Please was insanely loud! Left with a headache. Food was cold and not as good as I expected. Guess this will be my first and last visit. Too many excellent places around to eat to settle for Mason’s.
A great out of the way place. We have tried many items on the menu but still go back to the Cajun shrimp burger, amazing flavors with this burger.
I’ve had dozens of different hamburgers from all corners of the nation and nothing has topped Mason’s Cajun Shrimp Burger. Order it and leave awestruck.
The main dining area is the best looking part. Not sure how they pass inspections as the ceiling in the bar area looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since the place opened. The pendant lights above the bar were coated in years of dust as well. Not sure how much is falling into peoples drinks and food.Speaking of food. I showed up to watch the CFP championship game. I ordered a drink, water, and burger and fries. The burger was to be medium, with no onions and no tomatoes. The drink was prompt and mixed well. The burger showed up way too quick. It had tomatoes and onions. I felt like I ordered at McDonald’s. The burger was a large one and I was worried as to why such a large burger was cooked so quickly. I cut into it to find the edges were seared, but the interior being cold, raw, gooey beef. I knew then that the grill was too hot and they used a bowl to cover the burger. I tried a small portion and knew that if cooked correctly, it would have tasted great. At least the fries were good.As for the water? It took me asking three times before I finally got a water. This was around halftime of the game. Insult to injury? The bar and restaurant close at 9:30. I had to pay out and go elsewhere to finish watching the game.Still not sure how the place passes inspection due to the layers of dust and dirt.
Decent place, decent food, nothing fancy. Service is a bit slow but the place was so full i shouldn’t complain. The portions were sumptuous too. My wife really liked the Bloody Mary. Good waffles and chicken but the chicken tasted a bit weird. All in all an average experience.
