Such incredible food hidden in the woods of central. Great service, everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Highly suggest the boudin spring rolls (made with local Jerry Lee’s boudin) and mushroom ravioli. Will be back!
I just had my 40th birthday brunch at Stabs in Central. It was the great. We all tied a little of everything. All of the appetizers were delicious. Main course options all sounded so good we got a few of them to share. Fish of the day, chicken and waffles, crab cakes and eggs, steak and eggs and probably one of the best burgers burgers in Baton Rouge. The staff was attentive and made great suggestions when we couldn’t decide on which wonderful sounding entree to order. We will be back again and again.
I’ve had better cheaper.. The food quality was only so so. With a limited menu every dish should be superb, bit there sides were lacking flavor. If you like bland food at high prices, Stan’s is definitely for you. I’ll pass next time.
Delicious but completely overpriced. Automatically added a gratuity to our larger party which was expected but it was 20% and the server made a point to each of us to say it was a minimum and we could add more. Wow!!
Very expensive but excellent food and the atmosphere is great. Fine dining at its best.
Diner from Baton Rouge. Sorry not that impressed. The wife and I went there for restaurant week. For the appetizer, I had the Jerry Lee spring rolls, which tasted like Jerry Lee boudin (no surprise there). For the main dish I had the smoked prime rib. The prime rib was cut as thick as something you would see from Western Sizzler (maybe a 1/2 in. Thick) and the smoke flavor totally overwhelmed the taste from what I would call a not very quality cut of meat. The Bread pudding dessert was however outstanding. If you want good steak and will settle for an atmosphere not up to stabs, go to Ruth Chris’s. Much better steak for about the same price.
This is not fine dining when most of the tables are in the bar area and your steak is served in a cast iron skill, far from fine dining.!
