The fact that this is where chefs eat says a little bit. The steak breakfast was pretty good I enjoyed the pancake the most. The biscuit was fluffy and not dense. The steak was decent but nothing to write home to mom about. Their hash browns were ok but not quite Waffle House tasty. I’d definitely go back to this spot for pancakes in the wee hours of the morning.
Good food. Good service. Very polite and professional.
They serve breakfast all day and night! So when you don’t get up until…later! This works! We sat at the bar and people watched, and waitress watched, so I wouldn’t buy a mixed drink here. But, the breakfast is cheap and good.
Well although their rating was low, it was late and after a parade and I thought all I want is a fair meal. All I can say if you read this is to go one door down and go to Domino’s Pizza. If you absolutely have to go,then bring your own food.
Great breakfast for the money. You can get the early bird special for $3.99 before 9 am which is 2 eggs, your choice of ham, bacon or sausage, hash browns or grits and toast or a biscuit. Great service, excellent coffee and you can get cocktails too!
Never again. My daughters and I were arriving to our hotel late so I called the front desk and asked for a recommendation. I was told that Daisy Duke’s delivered. When I called the restaurant, the woman answering the phone could not speak English so she simply hung up on me. After I called 2 more times, I was finally able to place an order. It was delivered promptly but that was the only good thing about this experience. The bread on my shrimp po boy had mold on it. The gumbo was mediocre at best. I had high hopes for this place. Too many good choices in NOLA to suffer through this.
A nice surprise!. A group of us were looking for a place that was kinda quick and casual, but still sit down and we ran into Daisy Dukes. OK, this is not a 5 star joint, but it worked for us. The food was great – yummy gumbo and po boys. My husband got the cajun omelet and loved it. They had a few 2 for 1 drinks – the bloody marys and mimosas , which were good. For a casual meal, this place was great.
