Monty’s on the Square was our breakfast destination after a big night celebrating Mardi Gras. I had Monty’s Muffaletta – it was nice and the chips were also good. Very generous amount of ham and salami. The olive salad and cheese was good too but I think there was a bit to much olive oil. Service was very good.

We were there April 19, 2017 in the afternoon! Sat at the bar and ordered a Margarita! The bartender was the rudest, most unfriendly, unpleasant person I have ever encountered working for the public. Also, it was the worst Margarita that I have ever had in my life!

We ate dinner here on a Saturday night, was empty, now we know why! Had a party of 10 so tried a lot of food. Appetizer, crab cake, tasted spoiled. Firecracker shrimp was ok, gumbo was flavorless. Entrees, my sons grilled cheese was burned, literally black! The chicken strips were burned and my other sons burger came way after everyone elses food, they said the first one was burned. Hamburgers tasted spoiled also. The boudin texture was like paste and no flavor. The fried shrimp were overcooked, then they tried to be nice and bring out more shrimp for free and they were really fresh and cooked properly. Service was great though but nothing was compd. Do not eat dinner here, way more places to choose from in new Orleans.
