Okay. Grade: B-For a hotel restaurant its not bad, just a little pricey. The turtle soup was flavorful if a little cool. I enjoyed the size and the taste of the BALT (BLT + avocado), except that it wasnt assembled well…putting the avocado next to the lettuce is an invitation to squeeze it out of the sandwich. Their gumbo was good, with a very dark roux base, but it wasnt the do-all, end-all. Good coffee, and the pastries and baked goods looked good as well.

I wanted something sweet after dinner and chose the Key Lime Pie. It’s not the traditional presentation of the dessert. The bottom crust is like a pie although mine was overcooked and candied in the middle. The main layer is the key lime followed by an candied mixture and the green circle is made of cream. The stick is made of chocolate.
