Ate years ago in the Metairie location and tried this one in Gonzo. Seafood house vibe and food not bad and not over the top good. May stay in rotation to keep things from getting stale but not a must visit either. Solidly in 3 land.
Near I-10. So a convenient stop when traveling between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. I particularly like the jacked-up oysters or shrimp. Standard selection of the classics of South Louisiana cuisine – fried seafood, gumbo, etc.
Outstanding hush puppies! Fried catfish and shrimp basket hit the spot. A friend ordered fried alligator and it was also quite tasty. Bloody marry is spicy. Very enjoyable dining experience.
