Amazing po boys!02 Apr, 2013Amazing po boys! Don’t go anywhere else
Gross. I went to Mike’s Poboys for lunch and ordered their oyster poboy and french fries. All I can say is yuck! The oyster was not thoroughly fried and the batter easily came off. The oyster was still wet and it just laid on my bread like something big and gross. It was the worst oyster poboy that I ever had. The place used to be good, but now the thought of it makes me want to barf. I am sure you can gather that I won’t be eating there ever again.
Po Boys and Fried Rice. If you want a good poboy and some great fried rice, this is the place. They are one of the only places in town that uses REAL poboy bread which in my opinion makes it right. The shimp is good – although unusual since the shrimp are actually fritter-like, and the oyser is great. The real reason to go is for the fried rice. The pork fried rice is awesome. It is a meal in itself.I miss that they changed the sign – I liked it better when it was MIKE POBOY.
Po Boys and Fried Rice. Gotta love it.
Used to Love Mike’s. I haven’t eaten here in years. I drove by while visiting Gonzales and my mouth started watering. I felt nostalgic, but I could not stop in. I remember the hot roast beef po-boy, mmmm. I also really like the various varieties of fried rice. I miss you Mike’s. I will have to stop by next time I’m in town.
