Working near Gonzales and a coworker recommended Pot and Paddle to me. Definitely a solid recommendation that I pass along. Got to try their pastalaya, a jambalaya with noodles instead of rice, and it was great. The service was very nice and cashier was happy to answer the questions I had. Food wasn’t as spicy as I was expecting but that’s a personal preference. Worth a try!
My first time eating here. I tried the meal deal which consists of Jambalaya (Pork or Chicken) or Pastalaya, Gumbo, 2 sides and Roll for $10.00I choose Pork Jambalaya, chicken sausage gumbo, potato salad, white beans. When i picked up my tray i was shocked at the large portions. I have added a picture for your viewing pleasure. It was very good, best pork jambalaya i have ate in a long time. Gumbo was very good, lots of chicken, big pieces and plenty sausage, Potato salad was good, loved their white beans too. Louisiana hot sauce on every table. The staff was very pleasant and fast. I was there at 11:45 lunch time rush hour. I highly recommend this restaurant. Much needed in Gonzales in my opinion. They do catering too.Visited May 2016
