This place is deplorable. For the love of God clean your restaurant. I remember Common Grounds from when I was younger and I don’t ever remember it being so bad. This is the problem with family run restaurants you have a great location but the place needs professional assistance. Filthy filthy filthy I ordered a salad and was given a bottle of store bought dressing. Plastic table cloth was damp when I sat down napkins were dirty and the bathroom., I can’t even talk about. How are you people still in business. Close up for a week or so scrub the place do a whole lot of DUSTING and you might actually have a decent place

A group of four in town for New Years 2012, visited for breakfast on New Years Day. Service was very attentive and I found the food to be more than a value. The southern ambience was nice and I personally found the grits to be the best Id had out in quite some time. Next time in New Orleans, count me in for breakfast there.
