Fantastic! Amazing food! This is on my must stops when I am in town from NC visiting my family! My best friend introduced me to this hidden gem the soft shell crab is to DIE FOR! Going to the point today for lunch!

Amazing food. A friend took me here for lunch today, just the most amazing food I’ve had in a long time. Simple shrimp stew elevated to a level of true wonder, with a dark, almost smoky red gravy with okra, shrimp and little bits of amazing ham. So unbelievably rich and satisfying without being heavy. Their greens (collard I think) were the best I’ve ever had, and that’s saying something. The sweet lady who is the main cook there (my friend called her by name but I forgot) has amazing talent. From the deep fryer and to the plate, she brought out some of the most beautiful soft shell crabs, they almost seemed to float over the plate. The service is cafeteria style and everyone was cheerful and friendly, even though we came in at the very end of a very busy lunch crowd. I believe they are strictly a lunch place, close at 3pm (?) Totally worth the trip to the Westbank.

A club sandwich is a club sandwich but at the point it was the best I ever had. I have dragged friends there to try it and they could not believe it!18 Dec, 2009Situated in the industrial zone near fourth street in Harvey is a diamond in the rough. Only open for lunch. The food is very much Cajun and the place is always packed. Try their beef roast poboy with French fries. I go there once every few weeks.
