Awesome!!!. I don’t know why people rate this low, one of the best dining experiences I have had in a while. Excellent service!! Excellent service!!! Good was great, bread pudding was amazing. Best dining on the best bank!
Great Food & Service. The food at Red Maple is always delicious. The servers are always very friendly & observant. We are Gretna residents and love to eat there. Red Maple is very classy but casual and is one of the best restaurants on the West Bank..
Manager. I’m an out-of towner – not a food critic, just a regular Joe. I’ve taken business colleagues to the Red Maple twice in 2012 and we had pleasant experiences. We went for the Tuesday night crab special and both times the food was good, service was good, wait staff pleasant and attentive. Haven’t experienced the slow service and challenging experiences of some of the other posts. My colleages continue to ask me to take them to the Red Maple – and I do. Our next outing is scheduled for mid-Feb 2013 and I’ll let you know how that experience is.
Very poor service and food. Poor management . I do not recommend!
Attended a luncheon there yesterday and it went from bad to worse. Service was horrible, delayed 30/40minutes to get our salads. Another 20 minutes for main courses. The crabmeat au gratin was OK, the pork chop was unable to be cut even with steak knife. When it was requested to see manager we were told she was unavailable. To add insult to injury the police were called to escort the event chair off the premises because she was vocal about the service or lack thereof. The rest of the 60+ seniors were told our contract was for us to end at 2:00 PM and after that time we were trespassing.Needless to say, I will never pass through their doors again.
Awful! New Management, new menu. This restaurant USED to be one of the best on the westbank of New Orleans. It took over 15 minutes for anyone to even show up with a menu. I requested what I normally order and they said it was a new menu and new management. Bottom line, the crabmeat augratin was nothing more than barely heated lump crabmeat in a powdery liquid cheese sauce underneath tons of cheese. No seasonings, etc very bland and barely edible. A bug in my drink. Salmon that was FRIED, not grilled as stated, with green beans and bacon. Why would anyone fry Salmon and serve a vegetable with bacon? Green beans without bacon would be healthier. Very disappointed in the service, the food that has always been so great, and the professionalism of the staff was also noticeable. Our waitress was great, however no one greeted people like in the past. It was Friday night which is usually packed and it wasnt’. Save your money go down Belle Chasse Hwy to O’Briens if you want the finest food on the westbank and in New Orleans. It IS worth the money. Goodbye to Red Maple, not worth my money, time or gas, sad to say!
We went for valentines day not expecting to much because of the pure volume of the day but I was completely floored by the quality and taste of the food and the service was excellent I would recommend this place to anyone for any occasion
