Hole in the wall. A great little hole in the wall in Gretna. The tongue tacos are AMAZING! The tongue is beyond tender and juicy and the simple toppings of cilantro and onions, as well as that amazingly spicy, yet not overwhelming, green sauce are tops! Although the building and location are off putting, don’t let those things intimidate you; you will be handsomely rewarded with some great Mexican food AND Mexican Coca-Cola!
I crave this stuff.. My favorite is the chicken tostada. The chicken is lean (a big plus for me) and nicely, but not strongly, seasoned. I like that they pile tomatoes, avocados, sour cream and all that good stuff on top. I just wish they had a location here in New Orleans!
Looks like a dive, coz that’s what it is.. Food is really good at TS. Some of the best I’ve had so far on the WB. It’s worth a visit. Only bad thing is since it’s a food stand. there isn’t a place to sit and eat. They take credit cards and phone orders. so call ahead for quicker service.
