Lunch stuff is ok; it’s nothing special, just ok. However, the bakery part is amazing. The cakes they make are delicious. While the lunch is just ok, it is a nice excuse to come in for the cakes they make. You know, since you’re already there anyways you might as well.
Small bakery & cafe in quaint bungalow on the east side of Hammond. We when for lunch. My wife had the veggie sandwich – portobello mushrooms, roasted peppers, spring mix, artichokes tomatoes and Gouda cheese on focaccia bread. I had the chicken Sonoma pannini. Both had wonderful flavor. We brought home dessert.
Amber. The cakes here are AMAZING! I order all cakes from Cocoa Bean. I have been purchasing cake from here for the last 4 years and they always exceed my expectations! The cake are not only beautiful but also delicious! Highly, highly recommend.
Best cakes in Hammond!!. This small cake shop is set in a rustic antique house near the Jacmel restaurant. It’s not only interesting but the quality of the food produced is unmatched. The customer experience is sincerely wonderful. Every member of the staff at the Cocoa Bean is knowledgable, polite, and helpful. The chef has an a amazing eye for detail as well as great skill with producing wonderful flavors. We would highly recommend this bakery.
Definitely worth a visit. Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Had the roasted chicken Croissant sandwich – very tasty and an ample portion.Couldn’t leave without purchasing a few pastries to go (you won’t either). Small but varied selection of pastries available to go, but their primary business seems to be cakes. Lots of mouthwatering flavors available ( they also take custom orders). They sell some offerings by the slice.I will definitely be making a return visit or three…
Like it, but for the love of god change the chicken salad back to the way you used to make it, and add more lunch options
While we haven’t tried the sandwiches… the cakes and desserts are fantastic! We recently got another wedding flavor cake that everyone loved.
