We arrived in Covington too early so we went to the one in Hammond. I wasn’t pleased with the C&D because they don’t service rice to start with and I like to put my dumplings over rice. Sides were cold and greens right out of the can. I will likely go back to the one in Covington once more before stop going.
Good food in every location, comfortable and homey where I never feel rushed, and the staff always smiles at me! They may be paid to do so but I still like it so don’t judge me.
Past Employee. The food may taste nice but the kitchen the food is cooked in is filthy. I tell people to go for the retail store, but to stay away from the food!
Always good, always consistent no matter what you eat off the menu.
Love Cracker Barrel-Good breakfast lunch or dinner anytime of day. Love southern style food & great atmosphere!
Clean restaurant, most of waitstaff very friendly, although extremely busy. Several were seated repeatedly in quick succession, but seemed to handle it in stride. One or two of managers were quite snarky on more than one occasion. Noticed one super sweet mgr, made rounds of dining room checking on customers, I think his name was Jim. Food was excellent. Good portions, economical prices. Biscuits are great! Love eating here and visiting store afterwards is always a treat!
Like any cracker barrel. It’s the atmosphere that is worth the trip. Breakfast at 2:30 in the afternoon is another thing that keeps you coming back. The coffee is weak, the service is hit or miss, and you should bring your own syrup for your pancakes, but you can shop while you wait on a table, and there is always the peg game for the kids!
