It’s a new day for CHARLES SEAFOOD. The food overall is really very good. Char Grilled Oysters are off the chart!! I find that they are better than Mr D’s. The Stuffed crabs are pretty awesome too. We found that all the fried seafood is scrumptious. We go or pick up Red Beans and rice with a fried pork chop. It’s unbelievably good! They always have super specials too for special occasions! !! We love this place and eat there whenever we desire. Thank you Patti and Shawn for a job well done!!!Stuffed Crabs. The best stuffed crabs I have had in a long time that was wonderful, full of crab meat, perfectly seasoned, just the right amount of bread and not battered and fried! Just how we like them!!! YUMMY!!!!
Crayfish yummy yummy. We felt like eating crayfish a couple of weeks ago and I decided to try Charles instead of my usual place. Let me tell you. They were awesome. This was my first time trying them. We tried them again for Good Friday. Sometimes it is a hit and a miss, well it was another hit. Will be going back again
The food at Charles Seafood is delicious. All the seafood is great and the hamburgers are the best. Both owners work the restaurant everyday and they are the nicest people.
Meh…. FOOD:5/10Some decent items, but nothing phenomenal. I can’t see with what I’ve tasted, any urge to come back, definitely better options in the local area. The fried seafood was decent, the veal decent, charbroiled oysters were decent, the gumbo wasn’t really good in my opinion. Nothing was really spectacular, nothing great, and I can’t find myself wanting to give it another chance.SERVICE: 3/10Slow, inattentive, not really ideal.ATMOSPHERE: 2/10Some people may like it, but when I go out to eat, I like when it seems like I’m in a restaurant. This on the other hand is more reminiscent of being in someone’s house. Some people may like that, but with the mediocre food and service, taking that into consideration, probably better off eating at home. OVERALL: I would give it a 4/10- below average.
I can’t rate the food because I left after waiting 20 minutes at my table without so much as a hello.
Completely new owners. Not nearly half as good as Chef Frank Brigtsen. He has nothing to do with this place and it’s less than mediocre food.
New chef?. Not the same as last time, not sure worth the money, small plates I think.
