Very disappointing take out at Five Happiness prices. We won’t be back. We tried China Palace for the first time and were very disappointed. When we went in to pick up our order, the place was completely empty- not a good sign. Then we were caught off guard with our bill being about $12 higher than we expected (turned out the only menu we could find online was outdated, and we were also charged extra for requesting white meat, which we weren’t told when we ordered) Still, no huge deal if the food was good.Unfortunately, our General Tso chicken was almost entirely made up of soggy, flavorless batter, with slivers of processed chicken inside. The flavor of the sauce was not very spicy, but wasn’t horrible. The fried rice was typical, but the eggrolls lacked flavor and tasted old. We even laughed when we opened the fortune cookie and found that it tasted like it was made in the last Chinese dynasty. The lady who worked in the restaurant was very nice, and I hate to give a bad review for what must be a family business. However, we don’t get to eat out often and we ended up paying what we would have paid for a sit-down dinner at Five Happiness for some mushy, badly-flavored take-out. We’ll go back to places with consistent quality next time.

#deliciouslyfresh. Awesome Chinese restaurant, freshest around. Friendly, helpful staff. Extremely clean, very reasonably priced and generous portions. Will definitely be coming back again and again. Delish!!

Appetizers. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised. We have eaten Chinese food all around the country and have been looking for some good Hot N Sour soup in the greater New Orleans area. This was definitely it. Most other places we would find ourselves needing to add vinegar or pepper, but not here. Just the right mix of hot and sour along with other soup ingredients. Pot stickers were tasty as well. Would definitely go back to sample other courses. I rate their hot and sour soup second only to Five Happiness. Jennifer was very friendly and helpful, too.

Not good! The beef with broccoli was chewy and cheap tasting. Save your money.
