Incredible cajun food. Crawfish etouffee is my husband’s favorite dish, but he’s often disappointed with restaurant etoufee. We heard great things about the etoufee here. It was absolutely worth the trip. The fried catfish was great too. Perfect cajun food – spicy but not too hot. We seldom get dessert, but were glad we ordered the ice cream. The fig ice cream was incredible, and hubby reported the same about the vanilla
Ordered crawfish dinner. All I can say Is pitiful! The crawfish bisque was fair but lacked salt. Crawfish pie was the size of a quarter, had 3 crawfish on my cocktail, table spoon of potato salad (also no seasoning) stuffed bell pepper was a sliver of bell pepper with so much stuffing I couldn’t taste crawfish. Overall BAD
Bisque. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve eaten at Robin’s and I was not pleased with the changes in the taste of his bisque. It was much darker than before and had a burned taste . My wife ate the crab platter which had one teaspoon order of crab augratten which was not enough to taste. The crab ettoufee is not what it used to be . We were really dissappointed in what we ate because we can remember what it was years back .
Old school. I like it. I ordered the shrimp dinner. The salad was nice with a great Italian dressing. The meal came with a cup of shrimp bisque. It was good but I thought it was more like a gumbo. Had mild heat with good taste but I thought it could’ve used a little more salt. Loved the iced beer glasses. Made for a cold frosty beverage 😉 the meal came…I was a bit disappointed. It’s a shrimp dinner people. Shrimp should be the hero in a shrimp dinner. I had a plate of rice with some shrimp touffe and 2 count them 2 fried shrimp. 3 shrimp cocktail and was suppose to have a shrimp stuffed bell pepper. It looked like a ball of fried stuffing on a bell pepper leaf. Yes! I know there they don’t have leaves. It was on top of a wedge of bell pepper. Stuffed…I think not. This stuffing had no shrimp to be found. Someone pointed out the potato salad on my plate. It was a small ball of potato salad that I confused as a ball of butter. I couldn’t understand why butter was in my plate since I didn’t have any bread but he was right, it was potato salad. I noticed that everyone at my table added salt and pepper to their meals. Then I looked over to the next table and they where doing the same. I’m sorry but this just wasn’t worth the expense. Over priced for cafeteria food.
