Southern Goodness. Some of the best down home southern food I’ve had in a long time. The potato salad is the best I’ve ever had. The chicken and sausage gumbo and red beans and rice are wonderful, too. I don’t really like peanut butter, but the peanut butter pie is TO DIE FOR! Definitely try A-Bear’s if you want some homestyle cooking.
Must try the bread pudding. Wonderful food. I’d rate it a 9 out of 10. Southern style all the way. If you’re a foodie, you need to try this.

Food’s mediocre, prices to high, and old ladies that run the place are cranky & impolite. Definitely not the hometown restaurant it used to be 🙁

I ordered the special of the day which was 3 little pieces of overcooked catfish. the white beans were good as was the seafood sauce over rice. I did not have dessert. The staff was nice.
