Best Mexican Tortas! Great for large groups! Strong margaritas!!. Although the Mexican food here has been very Americanized, it is still good. The enchiladas with salsa verde are great. The Mexican Torta is just like if you ordered it in Mexico. The fajitas are also very good. The margaritas are VERY STRONG (especially on two for one nights) and are made with top shelf high end tequila. The restaurant is large and excellent for large parties. Once in while, Mrs. Izaguirre (founder of the La Casa restaurants) will make Cochinita Pipil as a special. If you EVER see it on the menu, ORDER IT! No lie, it is the best ever Cochinito Pipil. I like how they always add new occasional dishes because sometimes you just don’t want regular Mexican food. You want to try something different and they aim to please. The wait staff is always friendly. Sal, the manager, will do everything in his power to make sure you are happy with your food order and experience there. Cinco de Mayo is a lot fun at this restaurant. I have never had food poisoning nor any kind of stomach discomfort from this restaurant. The food is always fresh due to the high turnover. If you have people visiting from out of town, you can bring them here and everyone will be happy with their food and drink. Their salads are great for folks who do not like Mexican food or are on a diet. Occasionally, Mr. Izaguirre, (Mrs. Izaguirre’s husband), will play guitar and sing Mariachi music with two of his friends. It’s pretty cool ,if you happen to here when he does that.
Mexican food??. Since moving to the area its been hard trying to find a good Mexican restaurant & everyone told us this was the place to go. It was just another disappointment. The salsa was terrible & I could see grease in it. It honestly reminded me of my mother’s vegetable stew. Love it but not in my salsa. They didn’t even serve fresh chips just chips that come from the bag. The serve was fine. My husband & I both ordered the chimichangas but without the red sauce. Mine for some reason came with it & I hope they didn’t waste their time frying it cause the sauce just made the chimichanga soggy. Looks like I’m still looking for a Mexican restaurant.
