We loved Panchos & we love 2 Amigos! The buffet is delicious and the employees are so kind and helpful. We recently tried the fajitas and they were delicious. The steak was seasoned and so tender. I also recently used 2 Amigos to cater a Mexican Party. Everyone loved their food!

Old school panchos pure and simple. If you remember raising the flag for more of that delicious red stew or the tasty flautas the tastes are the same as well as the rest of the menu items but you have a led light instead of the flag.

Well, ya got authentic Mexican, ya got Tex-Mex, and in New Orleans we got Ponchos. This place is pretty much Ponchos, down to the little guy on the logo. I had the $4.99 lunch special, three enchiladas, beans and rice which was a pretty good deal. So whatever kind of Mexican you want to call it, it’s not bad, especially if your in a hurry for lunch, which I was. So if your from the New Orleans area and feel like a culinary trip down memory lane I’d recommend it, at least once.

7/1/2016 Stopped in for lunch with our party of 6… luckily we had a discount coupon! I usually get the fajita plate but decided to try the buffet since they had chicken tacos on the bar. They weren’t too bad and I had a second helping. I never cared for the other fare… even when it was Pancho’s… so no surprises there. What was surprising was that the wife and kids complained about most of the food. At least I got some photos.Previously… We went here a couple of times to experience the old Pancho’s style tex-mex. Supposedly it’s owned by a former manager… and they do a good job of emulating the original experience. In fact I would say… they are quite a bit better. I usually get the fajitas, since the buffet tends to put me off. The wife and the kids love it! I’ll post some photos next time we go.

I’m not a fan of buffets. That’s to say that Two Amigos is probably the only buffet that I’ve been to more than once in the last 5 years. They have great food that’s worth the drive from Metairie, Harahan, and Lakeview. The owner is usually there and they have better table service than some sit-down restaurants.

I’ve dined at this place a few times, and overall, the food was fresh and good.It is exactly like the old Panchos, and I like the cafeteria style better than a bunch of people digging into the pans for food. It is a buffet because it is all you can eat. Just tap the light on your table, and someone will come take your order and bring more food, along with chips, salsa, and those tasty sopapillas, which are always hot and made to order. Every time I dined at this place I also didn’t have to wait in a long line to be served and sit down to start eating. If you like a variety of Mexican cuisine to taste instead of just an item or two, this is the place to go. Taco Bell ? Please, there’s no comparison, much less the variety you will find at 2 Amigos

So dissatisfied. We visit family in the Kenner area several times a year. We drove in from Nashville Tennessee, looking for dinner on Sunday November 2, we ran across this restaurant. HUGE HUGE mistake….We walked through the line, like a cafeteria, and ended up with tacos….$30 for 2 adults with 2 sodas. It was awful, definitely NOT worth $30. Mac n cheese wasn’t to bad…my 11mo old ate that. The salsa was NOT salsa….just know, that I read reviews, I never write reviews….until now. This was a must!!! Pass this place up, taco bell is close by…..go there instead!
