Food was very tasty and fresh. Music was a bit loud but it was cinco de mayo so may not be as much so on my next visit. We had 5 different menu items and all were good…including the fried chicken strips. The mole was the right balance of spicy and sweet-not too sweet though

Finally really good authentic Mexican food!. Since we’re from the West Coast and are working here, we’ve gotten used to the generally dismal Mexican food available in this area. We had a pleasant surprise at lunch on Sunday. Antojitos is authentic Latin cooking not the awful TexMex that fails to deliver on so many levels. I’ve spent alot of time in Mexico and Antojitos offered the same atmosphere. I thouroughly enjoyed my amanchura (skirt steak and peppers) with rice, beans, salad and salsa and homemade corn tortillas. You do need to ask for salsa picante if you want the hot stuff that I love. My husband’s burrito was stuffed with meat, rice, and beans and was very flavorful. The chips were homemade, crunchy and delicious. The service was good and although the server didn’t speak much English, I was able to order in my busted up Spanish. She was able to see the humor in our situation and we all laughed as we muddled through. The restaurant was clean and pleasant not glitzy commercial. BTW, they serve bottled water because that’s what they do in Mexico because the water quality is poor and American’s demand it.
Place is dark. Didn’t feel welcome. Ordered a coke and asked for water. Was brought a bottled water. When asked if they charged for water she did not understand me. I sent it back. Should have turned around and walked out when I saw I was the only one in the place.
Upon first glance, it seems as if this place would be a destination for authentic Mexican food. Before you walk in the door, you smell the corn chips frying. We figured itd be pretty good. We sat down and ordered drinks, only to find that they don’t serve fountain drinks, everything is canned, Which would be okay if the coke didn’t taste like dirt. From the second we sat down, it was as if we interrupted the owners big Sunday family dinner. There was a big group of the owners family sitting around a table all speaking in Spanish. Very loud I might add. We had some trouble reading the menu and got the waitresses help. We decided on mixed fajitas without shrimp. Our order was placed and we were brought chips and salsa. The salsa was hot. Not spicy, but warm. As If it came from a microwave. And eerily, it tasted like tomato basil soup with onions. Not that great. The chips were fresh though. We didn’t have to wait long for the food as we were the only paying customers in the restaurant. The beans were salty and looked like glue. The Spanish rice was dry and bland with frozen peas and carrots thrown in. The fajitas only came with lettuce tomato and lime. So the topping options weren’t very extensive. The chicken and steak in the fajita mix were also over salted and the steak was pretty tough. There were hardly any onions or bell peppers on the plate either. There was a serious lack of flavor, spice, and Mexican flare in this whole meal. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I can make much better food at home.
Friendly Staff. Pretty limited menu but what I have tried was always good. I visit the area for business about once every 6 weeks or so and stopped in since its across the street from my hotel. Staff is always very friendly. Give em a shot.
