Very very good30 Sep, 2013This place was right next door to our hotel so we walked there to eat. We were very impressed! The food was amazing!! We had Rigatoni with eggplant, rigatoni Quattro formaggi, linguini with scampi, and kids spaghetti with meatballs. It was all very good! And they have the best ceasar dressing EVER!! We bought some to bring home! Service was also good. No complaints 🙂

My husband sort of dragged me to this restaurant. Facade was humble, and the title implied pizza and poboys. I was not in a casual mood. I asked him to go in and get a menu, so that I could decide before going in whether to turn around and walk out. I was, to say the least, more than pleasantly surprised. The menu did include pizza — gourmet pizza but not a poboy in sight. The menu was sophisticated, and the dishes were not just garden variety Italian dishes. I started with a ricotta-stuffed eggplant appetizer, which turned out to be what I would have considered a full-size entree portion. Delicious! For my real entree, I ordered Vitello Santorrini, an enormous portion of baby white veal, prosciutto, mozzarella, mushrooms in Marsala gravy. Served with roasted potatoes and sauted, seasoned green beans. By this time, my stomach was begging for mercy, but there was dessert to be had — caramel custard. I was now ready to pass on and meet my Maker. The wait staff was polite and helpful but not pushy. Prices were about midway between Pizza Hut and Commander’s Palace. All in all, a surprising and lovely experience. Thank you, Brick Oven for not being what I thought you were.

Amazing Pasta.. This lovely little place has a wonderful Rigatoni Quattro Formaggi dish! We went there on a Tuesday night and were quickly placed at a table and our orders took. Our waitress was very sweet and very fast on her toes to check up on us and to see if we needed anything else, not to mention she was extremely patient with my husband who tends to take his time choosing. She gave us some awesome opinions on what she personally liked, so that was very helpful while choosing a dish. Over all this was a great place!

The BEST pizza we have had in a long time!!! Wish we lived closer so we could come back. Convenient location right next to our hotel on a Saints game night when we didnt want to fight traffic in the city. The interior is old and dated but dont let that deter you. Yummy yummy!

Convenient Location. Stopped in for a quick bit to eat after returning a U-Haul truck from a day of moving so we were hungry. After looking over the rather extensive menu we ordered the pollo al sorrentino and the pollo alla siciliana. The salads and bread came out rather quickly but the food took a little while. When the food arrived it was alright but not large enough to balance the price.

Very good pizza! My wife ordered the spaghetti with a delicious (and huge) meatball. The atmosphere is classic and upscale but they didn’t flinch at our extremely comfy travel attire or kids. Service was stellar!
