Old school, and not in a good way.. I wished the waitress would have paid more attention to me than her smart phone. They did not skin the chili in the chili relleno, so of course, the batter did not stick to the chili and you could not cut it with a fork. Plain white rice? Ground beef in the taco — seems kinda gringo taco-bellish. An though the salsa verde seemed home made — it was not hot, at all. Overall,. this is an old school Americanized Mexican joint, that is not as authentic as what we now have here in New Orleans since Katrina.
My favorite place on Airline. Top notch chips & one of my favorite salsas ever making me forget about my preference for queso; great smoky chicken, $1.95 carne soft taco was outstanding; waitress spoke broken English, attentive, and service was very prompt.
Happy Customers. Friends and family were recently staying in New Orleans. We searched for an authentic Mexican Restaurant close to the International Airport. We decided to try Fiesta Latina on Sunday 5/19/13. We were pleased with everything. Service was excellent, staff helpful and food was DELICIOUS! After a late night in the Quarter area, the music was a little peppy, but happy music never hurt anyone, just added to the experience.
