  • Very good coffee & food! Just look at my pics. Service is on target too, no wait at the counter. Parking can be limited at peak times. I hope to come …

VERY Rude Customer Service. The coffee is sub-par at best and definitely not worth the sour attitude that comes with it… For better + cheaper coffee, well-lit study environment, and a friendlier/much more competent staff, make the drive out to Starbucks on W. Esplanade or any other nearby coffee shop – the convenience of this place isn’t worth the customer service you have to endure inside

Worst service and breakfast I’ve experienced….. The French Press Coffee House in Kenner was a huge disappointment. There were two of us. We each ordered the Big Breakfast which has two eggs cooked to order, hash browns, toast and your choice of bacon or sausage. The bacon was paper thin – three slices that if crumbled would not fill a table spoon. The sausage was good. We ordered our eggs over hard. We both received runny yokes. The toast was not hot enough to melt butter. The gal that waited on us could not give us her full attention as she was taking drive-thru orders on her headset. Maybe that’s why we received runny eggs. No paper towels in the ladies restroom so I used toilet paper. On the 1 to 10 scale I would give French Press Coffee House in Kenner a 3.

I want to like this place because it’s so convenient and on my way to work. However, if the workers can’t take my order (or at least say that they will be with me in a second) within five minutes of me walking up to the counter I’ll go somewhere else. Cafe duMonde is right across the street.23 Apr, 2014I’ve walked out of this place more than I’ve walked out of all of the other Kenner coffee shops combined. They never have anyone at the register and are always short staffed.

I ordered a club sandwich at approximately 2:50 p.m. We live 2 minutes away, and they said it should be about 15 minutes. My husband went to pick it up and while he was there ordered 2 coffees. 20 customers later he then returned to ask about the status if our order. Come to find out, the sandwich had been sitting on the counter for an hour and oops I forgot about your coffee! Well get your head out of your ass and do your job. Needless it say I have a hard, soggy club sandwich and it would be in everyone’s best interest if I personally don’t return it myself. I should have went with my first instinct and just went to Chateau Cafe!

BEST Coffeehouse. I have been a customer for years since they first opened. The only food item that French Press does NOT make to my knowledge (because I ask) is the cheesecake. Everything else is home made from everything I have eaten there thus far. Expect to wait for your breakfast sandwiches, soups, and lunch sandwiches. They actually make it! It’s common sense. Their food is in the back, not in the display case like someone mentioned with the cake pops issue. The food in the display case are just for display. DUH! The only food they have out is their bundt cake, soup, brownies, rice krispie treats, muffins, and cookies. They will also heat up muffins, brownies, cake, etc if you ask. Also, they have way more of a selection of coffee than any other local chain. You can get about 10 flavors either hot, iced, or frozen. I love the southern pecan and get it all the time. Their lunch is good. I like their soup and sandwiches. The baja chicken soup is spicy, but it has a nice kick. Sometimes it gets busy like any other coffee shop so expect that during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have free WIFI if you buy something. If you sign up for their mailing list, they will give you coupons every month for their drink of the month, coupons if you wear Saints attire on Saints games, and a free drink on your birthday. You can’t beat it.Food: Great, mostly home made. Service: Can get busy like any other coffee shop, but doesn’t bother me. If they are busy, I wait less than 5 minutes before I get served. They are friendly and happy to take punch cards and coupons. Atmosphere: Cold most of the time, so bring a jacket. They decorate for holidays which is good and it’s always clean.

Don’t bother. The customer service is deplorable.. We just left French Press in Kenner and I was disappointed enough to write this before even leaving the parking lot. The service was absolutely terrible. The brunette behind the counter was a joke. She said that she would let us know when our order was ready. Umm, you take the cake pop out of the display and you hand it over. Shouldn’t be too difficult. But no, we had to wait for it and I finally asked for it again. But when I asked for it again, she didn’t walk over to get it, she let me go back to my seat, then when she was ready to get it, she got it and called me back to the counter. I should mention that I’m 5 months pregnant. We’d still be there waiting for my husband’s egg and cheese croissant if not for me going back and asking where it was. Here’s the funny part. When I told her we never got the croissant, she seemed surprised and then turned right back around to talk to her friends that were sitting by the register. So I politely asked, umm, can you check on it? Eventually we got it and just ate in the car. There was a burning smell in there that was so bad, I couldn’t take it anymore. We got the message, you don’t want us there as customers, so trust us, we won’t be coming back.
