Trying to pass pork as veal. My daughter, my wife and I visited the Mr Eds in kenner on 1/3/15. Both my daughter and myself ordered the paneed VEAL with fettuccine. Now let me clarify. I graduated from culinary school and have worked in numerous restaurants from a line cook to an executive chef. At no point does Veal and pork taste the same. Trying To pass this off and charge customers for it is disgusting. They should be ashamed of themselves for lying to the very people that keep them open. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK LIARS!!!
Main dishes delicious, sides mediocre. Instant mashed potatoes, canned peas, soggy frozen fries. Could be much better with just a little effort in the sides area.
I have desired Mr Eds for quite sometime. Tonight I was quite surprised. Seafood somewhat tasteless, spice level on the order of Piccadilly. Had gumbo, fish and jambalaya. Jambalaya tasted of a burned roux and there’s usually know roux in jambalaya. Service was pacifying; don’t feel like we were welcomed. Save this place for tasteless retirees. Visible Presentation is picture perfect: but remember looks and tastes are not parallel to the pallet. Sorry guys its acceptable for others I just don’t see the hype.
Great food , great service , cleanThank you Mr Eds
Decent food. I went on recommendation from a local. I had red beans and rice with sausage. The meal came with a salad and cornbread. Overall the food was good. The sausage was charred pretty good. Good for me, but if my wife would have been served the same dish, she would not have wanted it. Blue cheese dressing made on site, had a very slight hint of pepper which I liked. Cornbread was sweet which was a nice compliment to the main course. Nice decor and atmosphere. The wait staff was pleasant and attentive.
