Wedding to Remember. My son and now daughter-in-law had there wedding here in Lafayette at Abacus on November 15. My son has lived in Florida for a few years now and we were thrilled that he was coming home to get married. My Daughter-in- law is the one who found the venue online. I can’t say enough about how special everything was, from the facility itself, to the food, and the staff. The venue had such a warm, cozy feeling. The food was absolutely delicious, ALL of it, and the staff was so helpful and such a delight to work with. I had so many of our guests call me after the wedding to tell me how much they loved the venue. I highly recommend Abacus to any couple looking to make their special day an event to remember!!!!!
This is a great, upscale plate lunch place. It’s buffet style with traditional southern style foods following the days of the week as you might find in the hospital cafeteria or other plate lunch places. This is a definite must go if you haven’t tried it.
We had the seafood today and was very impressed. The salad bar was fresh and well kept. The seafood gumbo was nicely seasoned and full if shrimp and crab claws.My favorite on the buffet was the fried stuffed catfish – had to make a second trip. But be sure and save room for Chef Pat’s bread pudding.
Just found Abacus a couple weeks ago and have visited several times since. The food is always superb. I will definitely be continuing my visits here!
YUMMM!. I like to go around and try out new restaurants as much as possible. One of my colleagues recommended that i try out Abacus for lunch. First time i had been, and it was a phenomenal experience. It’s a gorgeous venue, with great service, and the food was off the charts. Oh yea, and kudos to the chef, for having the best bread pudding in town. Best kept Secret in town, without a doubt.
I have eaten at Abacus numerous times and have never been disappointed. The food is always wonderfully delicious with a very pleasant atmosphere. I agree that Abacus is Lafayette’s best kept secret!
Enjoyed. The food was great. The lunch was hot. The Meat Ball Stew was fresh, not peppered. The service was personable. Will return.
