This place reminds me of ahippie place from the 60’s. I was half expecting someone to get up read a poem that didn’t rhyme. I thought I wanted leave as soon as I walked in, but the food was excellent. I had a chicken sandwich with a Caesar salad served in a large styrofoam cup both were delicious. My wife had the gouda mac which if you like mac and cheese this is a must try dish. We also ordered a cup of chicken and andouille gumbo with the tradition potato salad and again it was great. Most people I saw ordered take out as there is not much sitting area. All in all the food was very good and I even read a poem before I leftand it didn’t rhyme.
I enjoyed the authentic Sicilian (warning it’s nothing like the Italian food I’m use to aka Pizza Hut)! We had a meatball calzone (HUGE!) one of their delicious pizza with the hand tossed crust, gumbo, the Juicy Lucy stuffed burger, and the Rosemary potatoe wedges. The cashier Zoey was very patient and explained each dish. We also had some bourbon ice tea to round out the meal. Bring your wallet and your appetite.
My husband and I had dinner recently for the first time. The atmosphere is cozy, warm and inviting! The drinks were great and we liked the unique menu. We both had the flank steak which was very good but slightly cold. I look forward to visiting again!
Hands down, the best pizza in Lafayette! Don’t expect the brittle crust which is customary at most local pizza places. This is true Neapolitan wood-fire pizza done extremely well. On par with the best places in NYC.
This is one of those places that is hard to review, especially after only one visit. However, as in the adventure’s first step, this review is being written with respect to the surroundings and the hearts and souls poured into this little circus. Bread and Circus is the foodie’s jungle gem; you will have fun, you may get hurt, and it may cost you more than expect or intend but you will return because your soul seeks the unknown. It’s the simple pleasure of surprise, the hope to find something new and exciting, that gets you to order that mysterious menu item you can’t pronounce.
Very impressed! The waiter was amazing, the atmosphere was relaxing, fresh flowers on every table, and the food was nothing short of delicious! I can’t wait to go back! We had chicken and waffles, a burger, the mimosa kit and regular mimosas. Everything was so flavorful and fresh!
If you are new to the Acadiana area, BC&P needs to be on your top 3 places to visit. Wednesday is fried chicken day, and it puts all other fried chicken to shame… And I don’t know what they put in the sauce but it is nothing short of magical.Dinner service is a treat, the baked chicken was a homerun. The staff is personable and accomidating and the hostess is very sweet while still maintaing a profesional conduct, never letting chitchat distract her from getting waiting patrons seated, asap.Thank you B&CP for delivering exellency to the Acadiana area, we are all very proud of you!!
