I went once when they first opened, the service and food was so bad I thought writing a review for a place that wasn’t going to be open in a few months was a waste of time. After reading review after review raving about this place I’m going to give them another chance.
This is one of the best burger places in Lafayette. Burgers are seriously good–and where else can you go to a drive in and get a fried eggplant wheel or fried egg added to anything? Tuna burger? Yesss! Portobello mushroom cap burger? No problem! There is no inside seating. It’s an eat-in-your-car kind of place. Park. Raise the flag when ready to order. Eat awesome food.
Fries were the bomb, similar to checker’s/rally’s but better and less grease. Got a broaddus burger, while it was good and the optional bun choices were nice (I got sourdough), I have had much better as far as the patty goes. May be personal preference but I like my patty almost fried on the outside, and juicy and perfectly cooked inside. This was the same all throughout, well done and a little dry.
Finally got the chance to try Broaddus Burgers tonight. Totally worth the drive across town! We raised our flag to order, and it took a little while for the server to arrive, but she immediately apologized and did a bang up job; she was fast, friendly and knowledgable. I had a perfectly seasoned burger with pepper jack cheese and avocado on a ciabatta bun. The burger had that old school, seared on the grill flavor. So great! The yummy seasoned fries hit the spot, too. We decided to go home to eat ours, but there are a few picnic tables if you wanted to get out of your vehicle to eat. It was a little too cold for that tonight, though. Lastly, it always feels good to support a local business. Verdict? Highly recommend! Two thumbs waaaaay up!
Good flavorful burgers. Great service as food order was ready and correct when ordered on Waitr app. Good options on burgers. Buns were fresh. Will be back to try other burger offerings.
Fantastic burgers and great service! We stopped by on our way from TN to Houston, and we wish we had a Broaddus Burger near our home. Fries and milkshakes are great too!
Best burger in town.. Cheddar/Jalapeo bun, spicy patty, egg, bacon and the usual condiments and onion rings.. Will be back, well worth the drive from Youngsville!
