Good!. Very good food. Owner it’s super nice. Grocery store is great, too. All kinds of interesting food. And they sell Bueno.
Great Place!. The food was made swiftly and tasted fresh and wonderful. I had the half mufalata and a lentil soup. The lentil soup tastes very simple, but rich with onion and black pepper. Very nice, especially to dip the mufalata bread into. A whole mufalata will be more than you can eat. The half is actually cut in half and is a meal. The owner and staff were charming. A pretty much perfect lunch.
I don’t understand…. How people find the owner grumpy. He’s genuinely very nice; I always feel welcome. I’ve only tried two things – the Space Shuttle (delicious) and the Chicken Tandoori (BEST). Make sure you bring cash though, they don’t take debit or credit, but there is an ATM. ANYWAY, this is my favorite Middle Eastern place to eat in Lafayette — highly recommend it!
Owners ruin the place. The owners here are just grumpy, downright unfriendly. It’s gotten to where having to stand there to place your order with them at the counter ruins the whole experience. And that would be if the food was excellent, which it is not. I really like the haloumi cheese sub, but everything else is very average.05 Dec, 2012Great sandwiches in grouchy place. The service is not the best. The owner stands behind the counter and stares at you, sort of like you are bothering him. But the food is unique and very good. My favorite is the haloumi cheese poboy. Greek/Lebanese fare. It caters to a loyal college and business crowd. I recommend it as a great place to stop in for a sandwich, if you can ignore the owner’s less than inviting attitude.
Cheap food that is always fresh. Very good olives and hummus.Baklava is very special.Love sandwiches here.
Best in town. Unique and delicious fare. Service is friendly and the owner is very conscientious.
Great food and quick service in a very cozy location near UL campus
