I had been wanting to try Johnsons for some time but just never was the right time. But today was the day. A friend and I ventured across town – like really going all the way across Lafayette is a big deal. There is only outdoor seating so be warned – so in the summer that could be an issue. Also it does smell the smoke around the building so you could smell Smokey.The small inside is quaint with a giant menu board to pick your order from.We tried a link of boudin as an appetizer. It was very good but could be a touch spicy for some.I had the pulled brisket and my friend had the pulled pork. Both were excellent and I recommend either. I had bbq tots and she had Cole slaw as sides and neither was memorable.But you go for the Q and the Q is worth the trip.
