Not sure what all the great ratings of the Judice Inn are about. Plain burgers that are just *ok* with no fries or condiments. Pretty pointless to go here if you want anything besides a plain hamburger. And if you do just want a burger, there are many better places in town to get one.
Judice Inn is exactly what you think it will be based on what you see when you drive by. It is a classic burger done on the flat top with a perfect sear. It’s the spot that all the locals go to while the tourists look for Chili’s. I had a double with extra sauce, Zapp’s chips and a Dr. Pepper. I really would have to recommend the double unless you are a lightweight. Great burger!
Delicious burgers, great service. This place has a very simple menu, but don’t let the size of the menu fool you. The flavor of the juicy burgers is far worth a stop at this Lafayette favorite.
Jusdice Inn definitely has its ups and downs, the burgers are some of the best in Lafayette, but the restaurant is very small, which means not many places to sit, but other than that, it’s a great place all around
Finally tried it. Well, my wife and I have been passing this place for years and finally tried it. Here are some things we noticed: (1) Burger was good, but could not taste the special sauce. (2) No tomatoes or pickles!? Aw c’mon guys. (3) No ketchup? Geez! (Chips okay) (4) Had tabasco on the table! Great, most S Louisiana places have regular hot sauce, go Judice. (4) Place was not really dirty, just a little rundown, needs a couple of grand put into some standard renovations. (5) Place was packed! (6) Asked for a fried egg on my burger, they didn’t even bat an eye, it was great (I am from Louisiana, but lived in Kansas for a while, this was a thing up there in some places) Overall it was a good burger joint, no plastic yuppy modernity. Liked it a lot
Give it a try!. If you don’t like tiny mom n pop restaurants this this probably isn’t for you. Though it has a small interior the burgers are to die for. Especially if paired with extra special sauce and a chocolate milk shake! It’s by far one of my favorite restaurants in Lafayette. Just have a cheeseburger and make your own judgment from there. I really don’t think you’ll disappointed .
Will not be returning. Small, overpriced burgers with a big slab of onion on top. Why, a whole solid slice of onion??? Was not impressed.
