I really like this place for a lunch sandwich. Often overlooked. But I think they make really good sandwiches of several types. And their hamburger is one of the best in Lafayette in my opinion.
Without a doubt the Best Cuban Sandwich in America!!! I , I dream about, and it may be my last meal request that sandwich! Everything there is amazing, and I highly recommend the Cuban Sandwich! Did I mention they have a Cuban Sandwich on their menu and how good it is day or night??

Will not recommend, food and service has gone to hell with new ownership last few years and just gets worse. Food was much better before and staff were much nicer. The Staff is horrible as well as the food. They are rude and very unprofessional. I am not one to complain much, but gave it a try one more time and worst experience ever. Girl on the phone was rude and cut me off. After repeating my very simple order of 1 thing. It was still wrong. Had so much mayo on it, it may as well been a mayo sandwich with a tablespoon of salt.
Kobe beef Burger. Don’t usually do this, but I have to. I ordered a kobe beef burger, which in years past was spectacular, but the last couple of times i’ve gone in they completely ignored how I ordered my burger. When placing the order, the woman who took my order asked how I’d like my burger cooked. I told her medium rare with an emphasis on it being more rare then medium. What do I get? A burger that is more than well done. The point of getting a kobe beef burger is to highlight the meat. Not to mention they are more expensive than regular burgers. So basically what i got was an over priced over cooked hamburger. NOT going back.
NEXT TIME I will drive to Olde Tyme. Stopped in after the Market on Saturday June 1st. Should have noticed everyone sitting with out food was not a good sign. Placed our order – Large oyster poboy and onion rings with two drinks ( one was sweet tea). 45 minutes later no poboy and the counter person is telling us every five minutes that the kitchen did this that the person in the kitchen is new, that they burned the onion rings, they lost the order, too many excuses, tables dirty, cleaned my own with water and napkins. we were not the only ones with problems. large table of 6 waited and seemed to have problems with their order but ate their food instead of waiting longer for replacement since they had waited so long. out of sweet tea and the fountain drinks tasted flat. noticed that a few people placed order and had their food within 15 minutes. one person with a call in had problems with order. LOOKS LIKE MANGEMENT NEEDS TO GET INVOLVED. NEXT TIME I WILL GO TO OLDE TYME GROCERY.
